It's here the new spring/summer catalogue

Hi folks,I know it has been an absolute age since I blogged. I will be adding some back dated posts soon.

....But I decided to come back with a bang, once again the lovely Alison organised a blog hop on In Love With Stamping to jump start our creativity with the new products. So hopefully you have arrived from Donna.........having enjoyed what she has produced with the new products.

It's probably an obvious choice but I decided to get busy with a love theme. I have created a valentine's card. I love that we are getting more and more sets that have matching framelits, it makes it so much easier to get a clean cut out.

I have used the 'more amore' speciality designer series papers, they tie in very well with the 'hearts a flutter' set that I used. As I had the papers, I just used the framelits rather than the stamps as well. I embossed the core'dination card with the new honeycomb embossing folder. Again used the folder with some of the paper which meant then I could cut the hexagon shapes out to stick on the card. I used the framelits with the new creeped filter paper to create the heart.

I used some of the smooch spritz, this is my new way of adding a bit of sparkle.....it's certainly not a cleaner way!!! I added a soda pop top, adorned with a stamp out of the 'itty bitty' set in the main catalogue. I think these tops are real cute.....

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the blog hop, I am the last stop but if you joined somewhere along the way you can get back to the start here

A new day.....a new dawn...

Hi folks,

Today has been a long time coming.....its the first day of the new catalogue and boy are there loads of cool new things.  Check it out on-line or contact me to request a catalogue.

Hopefully you arrived from Alisons blog, I love the ornament, many of you will have seen it on the front of the Atumn/Winter catalogue.

To celebrate the launch some of the ladies on In Love With Stamping (ILWS) have organised a blog hop to showcase some of the great products in the new catalogue.

I made two different cards, one was Christmassy and the other a birthday card.

I used Cherry Cobbler card and the new tulle and the Early Espresso Core'dinations card.  I put Early Espresso card through the new Lacey Brocade embossing folder and then used the sanding system to take the top layer off to reveal the lighter colour underneath.  The Champagne glimmer paper is gorgeous and many of you might remember my love of the red one at the start of the year.  I used the 'Boho Blossoms' punch and the new 'Festival of Prints' paper to make the wreath.

This birthday card uses the new 2012-2014 In Colors, the card base is the Summer Starfruit.  In ink I used was Raspberry Ripple and Midnight muse.  The paper is from the 'Patio Party' Designer paper range.  The cake is made from the 'Make a cake' set, stamped in Versamark ink and then I brayered the ink over the top. The greeting is from the 'Itty Bitty Banners' set, then cut out using the matching Framelit die

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you like my cards.  The next blog along the hop is that of Gill Prescott.

If you have missed any, here's the links to all the blogs on the hop.

Oh My!.....

Hello Folks,

First I must apologise for my absence, I knew it had been a while but not over a month.

I have been busy crafting....maybe too much as I didn't leave time to come and tell you what I have been up to.

Firstly,  I think I will show you what the ladies did in my last class.....

The first card was a Jubilee themed card.  I had seen a similar one at regional training, sorry but I don't know who to give the credit to. It uses the Tea Shoppe stamp set from the new summer mini catalogue.  The second card was a Wedding themed one as the wedding season is upon us, it uses the new embossing folders, the fab new pleated ribbon (makes life so much easier) and the Love & Laughter stamp set, all from the new summer mini as well.

Normally I like to do a 3D item but instead this time we made gift card holders, as many couples ask for money for their Wedding gift.  Plus I never know what to buy the men in my life so I designed a manly gift card holder.  I hope you agree that it makes something that is sometimes a little impersonal into something a little special!

ILWS Summer Mini Blog Hop

Hi Folks,

Welcome to the ILWS Summer Blog Hop!

Today sees the launch of the new Stampin' Up! mini catalogue and to celebrate this and to get our cogs working the lovely Alison (this will take you to the first of 20 blogs, I am in the second group of 20) has organised a blog hop, this will be the second blog hop I have taken part in and I love being able to have a nose at all the different project the other peeps have come up with.

If things are going to plan you will have arrived from Kim's page, if not feel free to go and have a look.  It has been a busy few weeks so if you have taken part in the ILWS Summer Mini Swap I'll apologise now as you will recognise the projects I'm showing.

I have done two cards with similar designs but different colours.  I find it amazing how one thing can look so different when the colour is changed.

In both cards I have used the Sizzix Framelits and the Apothecary Art stamp set.  The stamps fit just perfectly with the dies. I have then coloured in using the inks and blender pen.

The above card is done in Basic Black and Melon Mambo. I used the Chantilly crochet and pleated it myself. Then just added the sentiment, plus 3 pearls.

This card was done using Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie.  I used Peach Parfait Stitched-poly ribbon as a banner. Stamped and punch out the sentiment again with the word window. Put the pearls on the banner as if they are holding it in place. I also used the Baroque border wheel and versamark ink to run across the card, its a little hard to see in the photo!

Hope you have enjoyed looking at my creations.  The next stop on the blog hop is Sally, hope you have fun looking on her blog.

Aprils Card Class

Hi folks,

I hadn't realised it had been a month since I last showed you some of my creations, slap my hand!!.

I've got the items from my last card class to show you.  Normally we make some cards and a 3D item, the cards are usually meant to be sent.  This class I decided it would be nice to make something that could be given as a gift.  The original idea came from a fellow card maker, Holly McMillen.

My last card class

Hello peeps,

Last weekend saw another class, this time it was based around the Cupcake stamp set and punch.  The ladies made 3 cards and two 3D items.  All items are made using Stampin' Up! supplies.

Heres a picture of them all together....

The cake shop card on the left is on a few blogs but I got my inspiration from Jules Japes.   The box in the background I cased from my Stampin' Up! Granny's, Monica Gale, blog.  It fits a small Easter egg in perfectly.  The small box at the front was also cased but from Meg Loven's blog.  The other two cards I designed.

The Word Window punch is used to make the canopy of the shop, this is where the sentiment is hung from.  Using the Create a cupcake stamp set and punch, 3 cakes are made and placed on card.

This card is made using a 'Joy card', I have fallen in love with the Morning Mocha papers, soooo scrummy.  I snook in a little bit of bling with the cherry using the Glimmer paper.  It was also the first time I used the 'fork' technique to tie a bow.  As you can see it made a lovely little bow.

The above box is made using the Sizzix Scalloped Envelope for two of the sides and then card cut from a 12 x 12 sheet.

The box is made using the Sizzix Petal Cone die, and cutting the bottom of the cone off.

This card has a bookmark that the recipent can take off and use after the event.  The bookmark is made using the Sizzix Two Tags die.

Hope you have enjoyed taking a look, if you have and would like to have a go at getting crafty please feel free to contact me about future classes.
